Description
The Shire Bag.
As charming as it is functional, this unique shoulder bag is entirely handcrafted from the ground up. Every stitch, every cut, every impression and every bit of color has been intricately worked by hand by our talented leather artisan.
The image you see on the front flap (called "tooling" in leather craft terms) is done via hundreds, if not thousands, of very carefully placed hammer strikes against small leather tools, which leave various sized impressions within the leather's surface. It is a painstaking, yet rewarding process, that takes a great deal of time, skill, and concentration.
We are very particular. All material and hardware is of the finest quality available: stitching is done by hand using Ritza Tiger Thread; all hardware (made entirely from solid brass) is specialty made by one premium leather supply company; all leather material is full grain and from USA based suppliers.
Please allow 1-2 months for creation upon ordering.

Care
To maintain the beauty and integrity of your purchase, we recommend treating it with care. Simple maintenance practices, such as wiping away dirt and grime with a soft cloth, and avoiding sharp objects coming into contact with the item, will greatly extend the life of your item. We recommend using Smith's Leather Balm to condition your leather (a little goes a long way!).
